This documentary, Six Degrees of Separation by the BBC, is a great example of excellent scriptwriting, editing, cinematography and overall storytelling.
It is especially important to note how the documentary starts.
When I hit the play button, I was only planning to watch a few minutes to get the flavor of the program, but I couldn't help but to get pulled in. This is what great documentary storytelling can do.
Also note the "roller coaster" ride that you are taken on as a viewer. There are fast cuts and then there is time edited in for you to breath and soak in the information.
