Sony Launches Video Contest To Benefit U.S. State Parks

Sony Creative Software and America's State Parks have teamed up to introduce America's State Parks Filmmaker Challenge, a video competition created to provide funding to not only California State Parks, but other state parks across the nation.

Participants will produce two-minute (or less) videos showcasing their favorite state parks. Amateurs welcome.

Entry deadline is September 1.

Nineteen potential finalists will be selected by representatives of America's State Parks on September 5 based on creative elements - cinematography, editing, soundtrack, effective use of special effects and film length - and technical elements - film concept, originality, coherence and overall enjoyment.

Visitors to the America's State Parks website from September 10 through November 1 will be invited to vote for their favorite video.
