The TFI Documentary Fund, Presented by HBO, provides grants and guidance to exceptional filmmakers developing engaging feature-length documentaries which emphasize character and that allow audiences to consider history, culture and society through the experiences of extraordinary individuals.

There are few richer ways to gain insight into another person's experience than to spend time with them as they share their stories, and the best documentarians offer us a unique vantage point from which to watch stories unfold. The TFI Documentary Fund support films that are grounded in the contemporary cultural landscape and that paint dynamic visual portraits of compelling individuals, either historical or living that have left an indelible cultural mark.

Grants of $10,000 as well as three HBO Fellowships of $25,000 - $50,000 will be awarded in 2011.
