Circling Samoa by Kayak Documentary Idea

by The ofFISHal Angler
(Australia)

I aim to become the first white man to circumnavigate Samoa solo in a kayak. The kayak is rigged with a series of waterproof HD cameras, all I need is a documentary crew.

The purpose of the project will be to raise money for charity, while undertaking a world first adventure. Along the journey - swimming with dolphins, camping on remote tropical beaches, battling the world's biggest fish and kayaking through dangerous currents and reefs.

More detail... NEW
by: The ofFISHal Angler

Hi,

I plan on attempting the journey in June 2013. This will provide enough time to undertake the proper planning and risk management processes. I have acquired the vessel, a Hobie Tandem Adventure Island kayak with a sail.

A possible charity is the Black Dog Institute in order to raise awareness of, and contribute to support services for people with depression or anxiety, particularly youth.

I am currently producing a trailer/demo in order to fine tune the camera gear. This will be an incredible adventure for all involved, and the potential audience for the final product is unlimited.

Cheers

adventure! NEW

Sounds like a fantastic adventure! Would you mind providing a few more details? For example, when do you plan to take this trip? For what charity? What kind of help are you hoping for with a documentary crew? Do you have any photos or video clips you could share? Any other description for how you see a possible documentary playing out and where it might be shown?

Again, this sounds like an amazing opportunity -- for you AND a film crew.

Thanks for the documentary idea!
