The Divine Quest: Religion vs. Spirituality

The Divine Quest

The Divine Quest

It is estimated that about 85% of the world population belongs to some kind of organised religious group. This percentage is decreasing rapidly as many people leave religious groups and seek alternative paths to spirituality. I want the documentary to focus on the debate of spirituality outside the walls of traditional religion. Is it possible to separate religion from spirituality? Can one be spiritual yet not religious? I want to focus on the reasons why people choose to form spiritual lives outside religion. There are many other issues that can be covered within this topic but this is the basic idea.

Too ambigous

You should define the terms, because usually people confuse religion with religious institutions (churches etc).

"Is it possible to separate religion from spirituality? Can one be spiritual yet not religious?"

Answer: No. Spirituality cannot remain an ethereal intangible thing. Spirituality implies a way of living, a way of communicating with the divinity, a set of principles of living, a set of beliefs about life, world etc. All this put together make a religion.

"All religeons are incomplete, only when they unite will the true word of god be known"...I am not religeous but spiritual. by following one religeon i feel you have a one sided view..by beieng spiritual you see the whole picture. what ever the case i respect all religions.
I think this would make a great program, its current topic would appeal
to a generation in the middle of a new found spiritual awakening.

Good Luck..:)
