49 Seconds of My SF Video Contest

by San Francisco Travel Association
(San Francisco, CA USA )

Show us what you love about San Francisco in a 49 second video and enter to win a trip to explore the city you love! The San Francisco Travel Association (SF Travel) is running a "49 Seconds of My SF" contest via www.sanfrancisco.travel/arts-culture/sweeps, part of the summer-long "49 Hours of SF: Arts & Culture" program.

We're asking everyone to put their favorite sights, sounds, streets, restaurants and activities on video and tell us what inspires you about San Francisco.

In just 49 short seconds, tell us what you like about San Francisco, what you would do in your 49 Hours here, or why you deserve to win a trip. Top submissions will be selected for public voting. Videos will be judged based off entertainment value, creativity, originality and enthusiasm for San Francisco.

The best of the submissions will be featured on the SF Travel website at www.49hoursofSF.com. Finalists will be chosen by a judging committee, and the grand prize winner will be determined by public vote online. The creator of the winning video will receive:

• Roundtrip for two on Virgin America
• Two nights at Hotel Rex, a Joie de Vivre hotel
• Prize pack to the San Francisco Symphony
• $100 dining certificate to Sam's Chowder
• Two tickets to Beach Blanket Babylon
• Two CityPASS booklets
• Two tickets to RocketBoat
• Two tickets to the Wax Museum at Fisherman's Wharf
• Two tickets for drinks and happy hour buffet at the Tonga Room in the Fairmont Hotel
• $50 American Express® Gift Card

To learn more information about the 49 Seconds of My SF contest, go to www.sanfrancisco.travel/arts-culture/sweeps for guidelines and to enter a video submission. The deadline for submissions is August 21, 2011.

49 Seconds of My SF Video Contest (“Contest”) is open to legal residents of the contiguous 48 United States and the District of Columbia age 18 and older at the time of entry.

The number 49 has long had special significance for San Francisco. The city's population exploded with the Gold Rush of 1949. The city itself measures 49 square miles (or "49 square miles surrounded by reality," as one luminary once said). Motorists can tour the city on the 49 Mile Scenic Drive. And don't forget that famous football team with 49 in the name.

The average weekend is 48 hours, but in San Francisco, there's no such thing as an average weekend. It takes at least 49 hours -- or an extra day - to explore new neighborhoods, experience new ideas in art and culture and indulge in some of the best food in America.
