In Our Son's Name documentary is an intimate portrait of Phyllis and Orlando Rodríguez whose lives are transformed by their son's death in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Despite overwhelming grief, Phyllis an Orlando nevertheless oppose war in Afghanistan and Iraq, befriend the mother of avowed 9/11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui, speak out against anti-Muslim actions, and find meaning in work with prison inmates - challenging conventional ideas about justice and healing.

In Our Son’s Name will be an hour-long documentary about forgiveness and reconciliation in the face of devastating violence and loss.

Filmed in HD, the documentary will inter-cut mixed media animation of footage of 9/11, the conspiracy trial and family photographs with verité footage and interviews to tell a powerful story of courage and healing.

In Our Son's Name is currently in the final stages of production with hopes of completing the film by end of 2011 (contingent on funding). A half-hour version of the documentary had been set to be broadcast on Al Jazeera television on the tenth anniversary of 9/11 and was unexpectedly cancelled. Stay tuned for details.
