Hi, my name is Faith and I'm the publisher of Desktop Documentaries. I've been in the documentary/video/film/communications business for more than 20 years. As a documentary/freelance producer and former television news reporter/anchor, I've produced more than 1500 productions including documentaries, educational videos, short films, news stories and web videos. I produced and directed the PBS and regional Emmy-winning documentary Briars in the Cotton Patch.

My filmmaking endeavors have given me the extraordinary opportunity to travel to more than 40 countries documenting the people and cultures in places such as Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Malaysia.

Through this site, I offer tons of free content with DIY filmmaking tips and advice, but I realize that each project is unique and sometimes requires more personalized guidance.

Whether you're a filmmaker, non-profit or business, I can analyze your project and help point you in the right direction. Most of the time, 1-hour is enough time provide a basic analysis and get you moving.

Once I receive your filled out form, I'll get back in touch with you (usually within 1-2 days) and we can determine together the next steps based on your needs. We can schedule a phone call or I can simply give you a written consultation through e-mail.

Consulting fees are paid before each hour of consulting. If you feel you need more help than what is listed here or have questions, please contact me.

*Reduced rates for pre-paid monthly consulting packages of 4-hours or more.  For example, four hours of consultation per month is $750.
