How do I get my film on Google Play?

Question: How do I get my feature film dvd on Google Play? I've called their help line, sent paper letters to their corp office, have been sent to help pages that are only for customers who want to play or rent DVD's, have searched the internet, but can not find the answer.

I'm a distributor and a producer and have 3 feature films I would like to sell/rent for VOD on Google Play...other companies like Netflix and many others are easy in regard to submitting content.....

Can you help with info?

Thank you for your trouble.

Hi Trace,

For this one, you're going to have to go through a Google Play approved aggregator. I recommend reaching out to Linda Nelson at Indie Rights Management and see if she can help you. Here is her website: http://www.nelsonmadisonfilms.com

Aspiration.is takes documentaries sometimes and they handle all the digital aggregation as well as other more inventive means to get films out there to audiences that fit.

Lots of options

You can use many providers to license films into Google but the best one is Bitmax.net

Premiere Digital

Their service is called Quiver and, like Distribber, you'll have to pay a whacking great fee to them to get your film on ITunes and Google Play. If you're low budget, these costs are not affordable.

Have you tried Distribber?
by: Desktop Documentaries

Thanks Trace for your question and to Jason for the answer.

Another idea is to contact Distribber. They have relationships with iTunes, Hulu, Amazon and many others. Google Play is not on their list of VOD outlets, but according to their site they are constantly updating their list of partners. So it may be worth sending them an e-mail asking about Google Play.

You may also want to try contacting a few film distributors who might be able to point you in the right direction. Get tips on how to find a distributor from producer Sharon Reed.
