Slow down, no worries. We're here to help!

Okay, let's make this super simple. So you want to make a documentary about Pierre Troudeau?

Here's what you need to do:

  1. VISUALS: Gather as many photos and videos of Troudeau as you can find. A great place to start is archive.org.

  2. SCRIPT: Research about Troudeau on Wikipedia and other information sites across the web. Write a simple 2-3 minute script (in your own words) using the information you find. Read it out loud to make sure it "sounds" right. Remember, people will be "listening" to your script, not reading it, so it should be conversational. Use really short sentences.

  3. EDIT - Depending on what kind of computer you have, find some simple free video editing software like iMovie (Mac) or Windows Live Movie Maker (PC). Record your voice and then edit the visuals to match up with your script. You could even use something fun like Animoto.

  4. MUSIC - You can use free music that's provided as part of the editing software or choose other free music from sites like http://soundcloud.com/creativecommons or http://freemusicarchive.org/. Make sure to read the licensing information for each song to make sure you aren't breaking any copyright rules.

  5. UPLOAD TO YOUTUBE
